CM rains cash for Liver and Gastroenteritis Department

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved funds of Rs 120 million for the upgrading of Liver and Gastroenteritis Department in Lahore General Hospital. 

Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Prof Anjum Habib Vohra said that Liver and Gastroenteritis Department of the hospital will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 120 million and new medical equipment will also be provided. Liver and Gastroenteritis Department Head Prof Ghiasun Nabi Tayyab said that provision of a huge amount of Rs 120 million reflects personal interest of the chief minister towards health sector development. He said that facilities already given to the patients will further be increased by upgrading the department. He said that liver and gastroenteritis diseases are increasing rapidly in the country and special measures are needed to control this diseases and for this purpose, prevention and awareness of the masses is the one of the most effective tolls.
