At least five people were killed and five others injured in a landmine explosion in Balochistan’s Naseerabad district on Monday.
Police sources said that a vehicle carrying residents hit a landmine in the Chahtar area of the district. The blast was heard far and wide causing panic in the area. Several vehicles parked nearby were also destroyed.
Two people were killed on the spot, while three others succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital, police said, adding that among the five dead, two belonged to the Hindu community.
