ISLAMABAD-
A nurse, who was earlier reported to have been inflicted with a gunshot wound at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad in the early hours of Saturday, turned out to have shot herself in an attempt to commit suicide, private media quoted police sources as saying.
The nurse, identified as Zubia, is under treatment at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
According to police, after examining the pistol recovered from the scene and nurse’s mobile phone record, it appears that she tried to kill herself for her beloved who tied the knot with another woman.
Zubia has not recorded her statement before the police as she remain under intensive care, it was added.
