SHC sends 27 cases to centre for military court trial

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has sent 27 terrorism cases to the federal government for running the trials in military courts.

According to a private TV channel, the cases include attacks on Karachi Airport, Mehran Naval Base and other government installations. Some 17 cases are related to bomb blasts.

The accused are imprisoned in different jails across Sindh while terrorism charges have been filed against them. The federal government will send the cases to military courts after scrutiny process.

Appeals of 14 convicts belonging to different terror outfits including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah-e-Sahaba, Jundullah and Al-Qaeda are still pending in the provincial high court.
