A newborn was kidnapped from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital in Islamabad on Saturday.
The family claimed that a woman abducted the child at midnight and that the hospital staff was also involved in the act.
Relatives staged a protest at Zero Point by blocking the road leading to Faisal Mosque halting the route to Expressway and chanted slogans against the administration.
The hospital administration, on the other hand, stated that the incident took place due to the negligence of the parents. However, a team was formulated to probe details.
Police has taken two of the guards into custody for further interrogation.
