The 87th birthday of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was sombrely celebrated in Garhi Khuda Bux Monday.
Sindh Education Minister Nisar Khuhro and MNA Ayaz Soomro arrived at the final resting place of Bhutto and showered rose petals and offered prayers at the grave of first elected prime minister of Pakistan.
They were the only significant party leaders who attended the birthday celebrations. Quran Khuwani was also held at the grave for the departed soul which was attended by these two leaders and other district and local office bearers of the party.
While talking to journalists, Nisar Khuhro said that they have observed the birthday of late ZA Bhutto in simplicity due to Peshawar carnage by the terrorists. He said that MQM was with them and may join them in the future as well but those who are dreaming of a forward block are living in a fool’s paradise.
Khuhro also inaugurated free eye camp organised by Peoples Doctors Forum with the help of Chandka Medical College Hospital and District Health Officer’s cooperation.
