PM vows to ensure implementation of NAP

Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday vowed to ensure the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP), a private news channel reported.

While presiding a high level meeting, PM said that the establishment of military-manned special courts is part of NAP to combat terrorism in the country.

During the meeting, it was  decided to hand over the cases of key terrorists to the special courts.

“Special courts will hear the cases of accused involved in the killings of children, citizens and army personnel,” Sharif announced.

Attorney General of Pakistan briefed the prime minister over proposed constitutional amendment and other legal points.

20-points anti-terrorism agenda announced by PM Nawaz was discussed in the meeting.

Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and the federal ministers including Khwaja Asif, Ishaq Dar, Pervaiz Rasheed, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Lt Gen (r) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Governor Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab, Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Barrister Zafarullah attended the meeting.
