Another convicted terrorist from the Musharraf attack case is likely to be executed in next 24 hours, according to media reports.

Niaz Muhammad, convicted for attacking the former president general (r) Pervez Musharraf along with other accomplices in Rawalpindi, is now on a death row.

Niaz was incarcerated at a jail in Haripur. He has now been shifted to Peshawar Jail for execution.

His death warrant has already been issued. After the deadliest terror attack at a military-run school in Peshawar, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ended the six-year moratorium on the death penalty, reinstating it for terrorism-related cases.

The interior ministry has finalised the cases of over 500 convicts, who have exhausted all possible appeals. Moreover, their mercy petitions have been turned down by the president and their executions will take place soon.
