Minister for Prisons Manzoor Hussain Wasan said on Thursday that 2015 would be the year of cleanliness and the nation would be celebrating peace and prosperity throughout the country.
“This peace would be brought through martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the prosperity, development, spreading of knowledge and peace,” he said in a statement.
Wasan said: “The Peshawar carnage was a national incident and in view of innocent martyrs mourning, the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto would be held with simplicity on 27th.”
He said the sacrifice of innocent children was so great that the whole nation and all institutions had agreed to unite against terrorism. The sacrifices of the martyrs had converted the impossible into possible.
He said: “This is a test of national leadership of the nation that how quickly elimination of terror would come. From 1947 to December 16, 2014, our elders and children had given unprecedented sacrifices for the prosperous and peaceful Pakistan and this process would still continue.”
He expressed his views while meeting with party members and others in Wasan House, Karachi. He said: “The December 25th is the birth anniversary of the leader of nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and it is also the day of Christian community for celebrating the holy festival of Charismas. On this day, we will have to take practical measures for the guarantee of equal rights for all religious communities of Pakistan according to Quaid-e-Azam’s teachings.”
