Punjab government approves ten schemes worth Rs 44.72 billion

The Punjab Development Working Party (PDWP) approved ten development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 44,728.739 million.

These schemes were approved in the 29th meeting of PDWP of current fiscal year 2014-15.

According to PDWP spokesman, the approved development schemes included: Small House-Cum Garden Plots for Eradication of Poverty in Punjab (Pilot Project), Phase-I (Revised) at the cost of Rs 274.990 million, 2×55 MW (Gross) Coal Fired Power Plant at Sundar Industrial Estate Lahore at the cost of  Rs 32397.18 million, Feasibility Study for Establishment of 50-200 MW Small Coal Fired Power Plants near Load Centers in the Punjab (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 120.268 million, Updating of Feasibility Study, Preparation of PC-I, Management of Bidding Process on EPC Mode and Construction Supervision of 15-20 MW Biomass Thermal Power Project near Chak Jhumra-District Faisalabad (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 104.050 million, Establishment of Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS) Phase-I, Lahore General Hospital, Lahore (Revised) at the cost of Rs 2452.597 million, Punjab Thalassemia Prevention Programme (PTPP) at the cost of Rs 498.049 million, Restoration of Landslide at Jhika Gali Murree (Slope Stablization / Road Improvement Measures) (3rd Revised) at the cost of Rs 1181.657 million, Widening / Improvement of Sohawa Chakwal Talagang Mianwali Road Art: No 12 km No 176.39 to 217.54=41.45 km in Mianwali at the cost of Rs 1704.649 million , Widening and Improvement of Noor Pur Thal to Main Road Quaid Abad, km 0.00 to 19.00, 27.50 to 41.50 and 41.50 to 56.00 total length 47.50 in District Khushab (revised) at the cost of Rs 471.756 million and construction of Dual Carriageway from Gujrat to Salam Interchange (Motorway) through Mandi Bahauddin (Section km 27.90 to 122.20=94.30 kms) at the cost of Rs 5523.543 million.
