Robbers gang busted, 25 arrested, contraband seized

The Islamabad Police busted a gang of robbers and arrested 25 outlaws from various areas of the city besides seizing 2.360 kilogrammes of hashish, 303 liquor bottles, mobiles, arms and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

According to details, Margalla Police arrested three robberies namely Atif, Zohaib, Abdul Wajid and recovered weapons along with ammunition from their possession. During the initial interrogation, they confessed their involvement in robbery. Further investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, Sabzi Mandi Police arrested drug peddlers Israr and recovered 1.350 gram hashish from him. Police team also recovered one 30 bore pistol from an accused waqas. Bani Gala police arrested Munir and Shakeel for having 2 bore rifle and one 9MM pistol.

Shehzad Town police arrested two bootleggers Rehman and Grefeen and recovered 300 wine bottles from their possession. Koral Police arrested two accused Kashif and Saleem besides recovering pistols from them. Aabpara Police arrested Asif Iqbal and recovered stolen mobiles from him.

Kohsar Police arrested two accused Baber Sarfraz and Mustansar for their alleged involvement in theft. Secretariat Police arrested Shehbaz and Ramzan besides recovering 1.10 kilogrammes of hashish, three liquor bottles and six cans of beer from their possession.

The CIA Police arrested Murad Ali and seized one 30-bore pistol from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Furthermore, police arrested eight beggars.
