ISLAMABAD-

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Tuesday that all citizens of Pakistan; without discrimination of caste, sect or faith, will be protected by the state.

Addressing a meeting in Islamabad to deliberate upon matters related of terrorism in Pakistan, the PM said that there was no cause holier than protecting the life and property of the citizens.

He said that the atrocities committed by terrorists in Peshawar, Wagah and Quetta will neither be forgiven nor forgotten, adding that the war on terrorism would go on without any exception or discrimination.

A high-level meeting  was called in by the PM to hold consultation with his key cabinet members, legal experts and military officials to take some important decisions about national security issues.

Earlier on Tuesday private media reported that the PM cancelled his all engagements for today to spend the entire day on matters pertaining to national security.

The PM has also called in a meeting of Parliamentary leaders at the Prime Minister House on Wednesday to finalise the anti-terrorism action plan prepared by a parliamentary committee.

The parliamentary committee is currently in a meeting to discuss recommendations of anti-terrorism working group of counter-terror experts. It is being headed by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

The political and military leadership had agreed upon an unconditional clampdown on terrorism following 16th December’s deadly Taliban Attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School which left at least 141 people;including 132 students, dead.

  1. Mr.PM the country is politically , religiously, and economically divided. You have at the moment a political honeymoon with all the parties concerned. Use it to good effect. The country expects you to deliver. Motorways can wait but murderers should not . You have a tryst with destiny.
