Actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan, who has again turned producer with the upcoming SonamKapoor-starrer ‘Dolly KiDoli’, says the film will prove to be a booster for the actress’ career.
Sonam, 29, plays the titular character, who runs away with groom’s money in the woman-centric romantic-comedy, directed by debutant Abhishek Dogra. Arbaaz feels Sonam was always on his mind and she fitted the character’s requirements perfectly.
“Sonam was always there in our list and she fulfilled all the parameters and she has no reservations on working with new directors. She was excited about working with the cast and the story and she was the right person to do Dolly. When success is concern you just need one film to reach new heights and increase your level. It could be ‘Dolly KiDoli’ for Sonam,” Arbaaz told in an interview.
Arbaaz, who turned producer with blockbuster ‘Dabangg’ in 2010, said people never expected that he will make a woman-oriented film in his career. “I always wanted to make a masala entertainer film which is a mainstream film. The film has good characters, dialogues and scenes. Yes it’s a women-oriented film and may be people were not expecting from me so soon but a good story is very important as a producer,” he said. Arbaaz said he is excited about the film.
