Martyred principal of Army Public School deserves a national award, says KP governor

The death toll of martyred Peshawar’s schoolchildren has risen to 133 as one more child succumbed to injuries on Friday.

In the meanwhile, scores of people including women and children along family members of the students visited Army Public School on Friday, paying homage to the martyred students who lay their lives to keep candle of education alive.

Keeping flowers and candles in their hands families of the martyred students showed the resolve that they would not stop their children from cchool and they would defeat terrorism through their strong belief.

In the meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has said that the martyred Army Public School Principal Tahira Qazi deserve due national award in acknowledgement of her brave struggle to protect the students while head on confronting terrorists attack at the institution on December 16 and he himself too will fully concede the proposal for making this possible.

“The way she contacted Rapid Response Force in a critical state of circumstances was exemplary and she really contributed her services like a real mother of the children,” he said after offering fateha for the eternal peace of the departed soul of the Shaheed at Landi Arbab; the native suburban village of the bereaved family in Peshawar on Friday morning.
