Islamabad Police Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) has arrested six dacoits of two gangs and seized valuables including 15 motorbikes, one jeep, gold ornaments, cash and electronic equipment from their possession, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
The spokesman said that Islamabad SSP Asmat Ullah Junejo constituted special teams headed by SP (Investigation) Muhammad Bilal to trace those involved in robberies in various areas of the city. Police teams working in various areas included DSP Fida Hussain Satti, Sub Inspector Mansoor Ahmed, ASI Amir Sajjad, which ensured effective checking as well as vigilance and succeeded to nab six robbers belonging to two various gangs.
These gangsters have been identified as Sharoon alias Kashif, Imran, Danish Iqbal, Bin Yamin alias Mama Raza, Jamshed Iqbal alias Jimmi and police recovered 15 motorbikes, one jeep, fake number plates, bogus registration books, gold ornaments, lap top, digital cameras and electronic equipment from them.
During the preliminary investigation, these nabbed criminals have confessed to strike in areas of Industrial area, Tarnol, Secretariat and Sabzi Mandi, Margallah, Kohsar, Bhara Kau and Ramana police stations. They also used to sell motorbikes to simpletons after preparing fake documents.
Further investigations are underway.
