In the aftermath of the terrorist attack on a school in Peshawar in which 132 students and 9 staff members were killed, solidarity has been expressed with the people of Pakistan by Indians on the social networking site Twitter.
The hashtag #IndiaWithPakistan is currently trending in which Indians have condemned the attack and expressed condolences with their Pakistani neighbours.
The hashtag was started by Indian columnist Tehseen Poonawalla to show support with the victims of the atrocity.
Poonawalla tweeted: “Cause we will not bow down to these cowards. Cause our children are our future so let us hashtag #IndiawithPakistan !!
“Two countries are never enemies, nor their people! Enemies are just a small bunch of sick-minded people! #IndiaWithPakistan,” wrote Divya Jain.
Ajith Eapen wrote: “Such insanity against children – our prayers are with you this day #IndiawithPakistan.”
Hitesh Mathpal said: “This madness is against humanity. Children are the innocent souls. #IndiawithPakistan.”
Satish Mohite tweeted: “In this moment of extreme grief shock & despair we parents in India stand with all parents in Pak #IndiawithPakistan @tehseenp.”
