Frontier Corps (FC) have foiled major terror bids during two separate raids in Mastung and Chaman.

FC Deputy Inspector General Brig Tahir Mehmood on Thursday told reporters that the forces conducted a raid in Rehman Kahol area of Chaman and seized a large cache of arms and ammunition.

“Over 1,000 kilogrammes of explosive material was recovered during the raid,” he said, adding that some arrests were also made during the operation but preferred not to reveal the number and identity of suspects owing to an ongoing interrogation.

“Weapons were being brought to carry out subversive activities in Balochistan,” he added.

The official said that the forces also conducted a raid in Kanak area of Mastung, in which thousands of rounds, a motorcycle and a laptop were recovered.
