Police on Wednesday killed six criminals in two different areas of the city who were allegedly involved in several criminal activities including targeted killings.
According to SHO Gulzar Hijri, police on a tip off conducted an operation in Sachal Goth. On the arrival of the police, muggers opened firing at police, retaliating to which four robbers were killed. The bodies were shifted to the hospital for post-mortem. One of the dacoits managed to flee from the scene.
In another encounter that took place in Manghopir area, the police killed two target killers. Meanwhile, a woman was killed and three others injured in a firing incident at Mominabad area.
Meanwhile at least eight suspects along with three members of a banned outfit were detained in various operations of Rangers and Karachi police. The members of the outlawed organization were nabbed near Mominabad.
In another alleged operation of police in Darakshan, one bandit was taken into custody. Further, police held a suspect Farhan in a search operation at Saeedabad and recovered one pipe bomb from his possession. Moreover, a gangster got injured by the firing of some unidentified bike riders at H Block in North Nazimabad.
