Lahore High Court (LHC) security staff on Tuesday foiled an escape attempt by an accused from the court premises after dismissal of his bail application.
Accused Azam was involved in a murder attempt case registered by Nishtar Police Station under Section 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). However, the accused had filed a bail application before Justice Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi who dismissed the application after hearing arguments of both parties on Tuesday.
At this, the accused tried to flee the court premises but the LHC security staff foiled the attempt and overpowered him.
A scuffle broke out among accused party and complainant party but the staff intervened and arrested four persons who were later handed over to Old Anarkali Police along with accused Azam.
