PIA flight makes emergency landing in capital

A Gilgit-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight survived a disaster in Islamabad on Monday.
A PIA spokesperson stated that the captain of PIA flight PK-607, flying to Gilgit from Islamabad, made an emergency landing at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) due to a technical fault in the airliner.
All passengers and crew remained safe, the spokesperson added.
The technical staff of the national airliner carried out maintenance work on the aircraft and the flight later departed for Gilgit.
