At least 2.5 million illegal refugees are residing in Sindh, Interior Secretary of Sindh Niaz Abbasi said in a press statement on Tuesday.
“There are 2.5 million people living in Sindh illegally, of which 0.9 million are Afghan refugees; this is an injustice to the province,” said Abbasi.
The interior secretary also gave a briefing at Garden Police Headquarters, where he said that out of 12 million weapon licences, only 25 per cent have been registered and computerised.
Commenting on police performance in the province, Abbasi said a few ‘black sheep’ were present in the force as well as other security departments. He said action is taken against such elements.
Get rid of these outsiders – send them back to where they came from.
