Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that sit-ins and politics of protest have caused a huge loss to the national economy and the elements engaged in such activities have proved their enmity to the country by creating hurdles in the process of national development and prosperity.
He was talking to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Baluchistan leader and former Senator Nawabzada Mir Haji Lashkari Raisani who called on him on Monday.
The chief minister said that injustice was being done to the country through sit-ins and the elements involved in such activities should review their negative attitude.
He said that there is no room for politics of sit-ins or chaos in the present situation as the country is facing a number of challenges and it is the time to move forward with unity. He said that people have given a five year’s mandate to the PML-N government and it is serving the masses round the clock for resolving their problems. The chief minister further said that the aim of progress and prosperity will be achieved under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
