Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khohru Saturday blasted the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) leadership saying those have served dictators like Gen Ziaul Haq and Pervez Musharraf could never be the well-wishers of the masses.

And that Unar clan, the host of the PTI corner meeting, was involved in murder of a journalist, Muneer Sangi, and was fond of converting schools into their personal Autaqs, he alleged.

“Any act of insulting the people of Sindh would never be tolerated and no leniency would be showed in this regard,” he added.

The people of Larkana had rejected those that were conspiring against the country but had emerged as friend of the country with deceptive slogan of ‘New Pakistan’.

The people of Larkana had, by rejecting PTI’s corner meeting at Ali Abad, proved that they were not slaves and could never be held hostage. They deserved due salutations for their courage.

He was addressing a press conference at the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Media Cell on Saturday. He was flanked by Sharjeel Innam Memon, PPP Sindh chapter General Secretary Senator Taj Haider, PPP Media Cell Sindh in-charge Senator Saeed Ghani, Member Provincial Assembly Muhammad Ali Bhutto, PPP Media Cell members Zulfiquar Qaimkhani, Manzoor Abbas and Lateef Mughal.

Khohru said PTI chairman Imran Khan was ignorant of the fact while he was criticising the educational system of Sindh that the host of his corner meeting, the Unar clan, had ruined schools by converting them into their personal Autaqs. When Khan was delivering his speech, he (Khohru) was in Umerkot for making the closed schools functional built in the name of Hashoo Bhai’s father under Sindh Education Trust.

While rebutting PTI leader Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s remarks about the NoC, the minister said he had, during his speech on a resolution in Sindh assembly, asked the PTI chairman to ask Qureshi to stop allowing his followers from licking his hands and feet.

He said the PTI chairman and his team was product of Zia and Musharraf regimes and they could never be well-wishers of the masses and the democracy.

He said the whole country was united against Kala Bagh Dam but the PTI on page 22 of its manifesto had clearly supported the construction of dam and termed it as inevitable for life of the country. The PTI chairman failed to categorically oppose Kala Bagh Dam which was a proof that he was not sincere with the people of Sindh.

While giving his share to the press conference, Sharjeel said it was very unfortunate that the PTI chairman had criticised the Sindh government despite the fact that he was provided fool-proof VVIP security and a chief minister-level protocol on his personal request.

He said the PTI chairman had just one dream to become the prime minister of the country but it would be impossible for him to make his dreams come true.

The minister said Pervez Musharraf, who was Khan’s teacher of politics, victimised the PPP for 11 long years but he failed to prove any thing wrong against the party.

Memon said Qureshi found Bhutto everywhere but after he was removed from his office (foreign minister) he did not see any Bhutto in the PPP. He could not dupe people through deceptive remarks as the PPP had always won elections due to its service for the people. He said it was better for Shaikh Rasheed not to attend the PTI corner meeting.
