President Manoon Hussain Friday conferred Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah with Nihan-e-Imtiaz (Military) in recognition of his long meritorious services, exceptionally commendable performance and inspirable devotion of duty.
The special investiture ceremony for the conferment of the award upon the naval chief was attended among others by ministers, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee chairman, chief of Air Staff, officers of the armed forces and other high officials.
“Admiral Zakaullah has over 40 years of meritorious service to his credit. He has an illustrious career with distinguishing footprints in his training/academic pursuits and he shouldered high profile Command and Staff assignments, both ashore and afloat. In all his professional pursuits, the admiral has exhibited dynamic leadership skills backed by impeccable moral strength, remarkable professional competence and high sense of responsibility. His exemplary conduct instilled inspiration amongst subordinates and contributed profoundly in development of Pakistan Navy. He is recipient to Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military),” stated the citation read on the occasion.
