Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday accepted the plea for a case hearing pertaining to the resignations submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Members of National Assembly(MNAs), a private news channel reported.
The petition was submitted by Arsalan Iftikhar, son of former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, at the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court.
The petition pleaded before the court that resignations of PTI MNAs should be accepted and government should be ordered to hold by-election on vacated seats.
The direction regarding acceptance of the petition was issued by Justice Mazhar Iqbal.
