Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Saturday said he would not rest until the end of the Nawaz Sharif government, and dared authorities to arrest Imran Khan or himself.

Addressing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gathering, Rasheed said that Maryam Nawaz’s resignation has already come and only four resignations are left now. He said that the nation has been standing firm like the Wall of China with Imran Khan for the last 94 days but not even a glass has been broken.

The senior politician known for his predictions, most of which have seldom come true, said that he will happily die to end the Sharif government.

“I am the encyclopaedia of Pakistani politics,” he said, adding that his alliance with Imran Khan will continue until the end of the incumbent government. He said that Nawaz Sharif and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari were two faces of the same coin.

The AML chief said that he would set the country on fire if any person tried to arrest Imran Khan, but hastened to add that he had talked of setting crime and the corrupted system on fire. He said that he was a “suicide politician” and could prove to be Bu-Azizi of Pakistani politics.

“Mr Nawaz Sharif, just let me know of the time and place and I will present myself for arrest,” he said, adding that “jail was just like his in-laws house”.
