The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a corruption reference against former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) scam.
The reference was filed in an accountability court Tuesday regarding the appointment of the former premier’s son-in-law Raja Azeemul Haq and Zafar Iqbal Gondal, former chairman of EOBI. The accused allegedly made illegal appointments during their tenures, causing a loss of Rs 600 million to the national exchequer.
