Aman Lashkar volunteer, militant killed in clash in Bara
At least 13 terrorists, including five terrorists of banned militant outfit Lashkar-e-Islam as well as its commander Munawar, were killed and 10 hideouts destroyed in airstrikes by security forces Sunday in Akakhel area of Tirah valley in Khyber Agency.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, Pakistan Army jets pounded suspected terrorist dens in Akakhel area of TirahValley in Khyber Agency.
As a result of the aerial strikes, 13 terrorists were reported killed and several others were injured. Ten hideouts were also razed to ground.
According to the ISPR statement, a key militant commander involved in training the militants for carrying out terror attacks in settled areas and two suicide bombers were also among the terrorists killed in the action.
In the meanwhile, a volunteer of the Aman Lashkar was killed in clashes with terrorists in Neeri Baba area of Tirah valley. One militant was also killed.
The Aman Lashkar took control of Shalobar area of Tehsil Bara and wiped out houses of three terrorist commanders. The terrorists managed to flee.
