Five friends from Karachi die in Wagah blast at Lahore

Dead bodies of five friends, residents of Karachi, who died in Wagha border attack, were handed over to their heirs on Monday.

According to reports, the friends went to Lahore few days ago to enjoy their holidays but unfortunately became victim of the blast near Wagah border on Sunday evening. The blast left at least 60 people dead including Rangers personnel, women and children.

The friends were identified as Abdul Razzaq from Clifton, Sadiq from Shadman, Irfan from Landhi, Sikandar and one more. One of them sustained injuries and is admitted to a hospital in Lahore.

The explosion, which wounded more than 120, took place at Wagah border gate near the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore after the “flag-lowering” ceremony, a display of military pageantry that attracts thousands of spectators every day and is popular with foreign tourists.
