Eight students injured in FUU clash

As many as eight students and a security guard were injured during a students’ clash at Federal Urdu University (FUU) on Wednesday.

According to reports, two students of Islamic Jamiat Tulba (IJT) and another student organization ended up in a minor clash after exchange of harsh words. Over 60 members of so called student organisation attacked the university, captured eight students of IJT and tortured them, also beating up a security guard when he came forward to disband them.

All miscreants carrying weapons, daggers and brass knuckles ran off the site, soon after, Aabpara Police reached at spot however police refuse to arrest any of them at the spot.

Injured students protest over silence of university administration and asked police to launch FIR against miscreants, however, police has so far not registered any FIR till filing of this report.

Following the incident, fear and panic have spread among students, while educational career of injured students seems in danger.

Meanwhile, IJT Nazim Abdul Samad Sarfaraz condemned the attack on workers of IJT and stated that these kinds of elements were trying to spoil the atmosphere of educational institutes. He demand university administration to register FIR against disruptive members of ethnic organization and threatened to call a protest if action was not taken against miscreants.
