The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday approved Re 0.52 per unit increase in the price of electricity.
The increase was approved on a petition of the Central Power Purchasing Agency under fuel adjustment for the month of September. The price increase will be applicable on all power distribution companies except the KESC. The increase in power tariff will not apply domestic consumers who will use electricity less than 50 units.
