Tharparkar famine continues as two more children fall prey to malnutrition, death toll in October reaches 22

At least two children died of malnutrition n Tharparkar while 20 others were under treatment, a private news channel reported.

The residents of Thar continue suffering from starvation and malnutrition as the three-year drought spell  goes on in the area.

According to sources, at least 22 people, including children, have fallen prey to malnutrition in the month of October while hundreds have died in recent months.

The Sindh Government has declared Tharparkar as a calamity-hit zone and announced to supply wheat on subsidized prices.

Meanwhile, a section of private media reported the discussion of seafood cuisine in Sindh Assembly on Tuesday.

According to the report,Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani  expressed a desire to eat fish and asked Jam Khan Shoro, provincial minister for fisheries  to arrange a feast for assembly members.

  1. Pakistanis jump up and down about Palestine but they are allowing fellow Pakistanis to die of hunger. I have always been of the view that Pakistanis are all TALK. Get some food to these poor people do no wait for other countries to do it.
