Rawalpindi’s Special Court for Anti-Narcotics Monday exempted Ali Musa Gilani, son of former prime minister, and Makhdoom Shahabuddin for personal appearance and adjourned the hearing till October 27 in ephedrine quota case.

The special court with Judge Muhammad Akhtar resumed the hearing of the ephedrine quote case.

The two accused nominated in the case including Gilani and Shahabuddin could not appear in the court but their legal representatives moved an application seeking immunity for personal appearance which was accepted by the court and adjourned the hearing till October 27.

A petition against the two accused in ephedrine case was also being heard in Lahore High Court (LHC) and they have also filed an application in court for shifting of the case to Multan and Islamabad as they were facing problems to appear in the court.
