Rs 6,744m released for various water projects

According to reports of different TV channels the government has released Rs.6744 million out of total Rs.43,427.180 million allocated for various water projects in Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2014-15 so far.

According to the Planning Commission data, an amount of Rs.2000 million was released for Kachhi Canal Project (Phase-I), Rs.600 million for extension of Right Bank Outfall Drain from Sehwan to Sea (RBOD-II), Rs.200 million for flood dispersal Structure along with conveyance system on Nari River (Bolan), Rs.240 million for construction of 100 delay action dam in Balochistan.

A sum of Rs.200 million was also released for Darwat dam, Rs.100 million for construction of 20 small dams in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Rs.450 million for lining if irrigation channels in Punjab and Rs.350 million for lining of Distributaries and Minors in Sindh.

Similarly, as many as Rs.360 million was released for Nai Gaj Dam, Rs.400 million for re-construction of Shadi Kour Dam, Rs.100 million each for Rainee Canal (Phase-1) and Rehabilitation of Irrigation System in KPK, Rs.500 million for Revamping/Rehabilitation of Irrigation and Drainage System in Sindh and Rs.108 million for Makhi Farash Link Canal Project.
