Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that 6th Asia-Europe Culture Ministers’ Conference (ASEM) will provide an opportunity for innovative ideas and practices in the fields of culture, education, science and business.
Upon his arrival to represent Pakistan in the ASEM, the minister said he was looking forward to exchange experiences and discuss the benefits and challenges of creative industries with the ministers and representatives of the participating countries.
The 6th Asia-Europe Culture Ministers’ Conference (ASEM) will open on Monday (today) in Rotterdam, said a press release issued by the Embassy of Pakistan in The Hague on Sunday.
On the sidelines, the minister will also hold a meeting with Dutch Minister for Education, Culture and Science, Ms. Jet Bussemaker. He would discuss bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of education and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and the Netherlands.
About 40 culture ministers and delegates from different countries of Asia and Europe are participating in the two-day conference that will be inaugurated by the King of the Netherlands, Willem- Alexander.
Theme of this year’s moot is” Creative Industries for Society: Talent, Technology and Trade”.
