The government has decided to give two more weeks to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for verification of their resignations, a private news channel reported on Tuesday.

According to the channel, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had asked PTI’s Shafqat Mehmood, Amjad Ali Khan and Rai Hassan Nawaz to verify their resignations in his presence but they did not turn up at the NA speaker’s secretariat.

According to the channel, four PTI members including Inayat Ullah Khattak, Sajida Begum, Ayesha Gulalei and Lal Chand have been asked to verify their resignations on Wednesday (today) but it wa highly likely that the lawmakers would show at the NA speaker’s secretariat.

The news channel said that keeping in view the PTI lawmakers’ disregard for the speaker’s directions, the government has decided to extend the process by another two weeks after which the speaker would discuss the matter with constitutional and legal experts to reach some decision.

  1. It was good for the Politician lovers that PTI get more time to verify their resignations. Personally I think the party must work hard for the nation not for show. We need really honest persons to rule.
