The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started its post-hajj operation as its flights landed in Lahore and Karachi on Wednesday night Thursday morning respectively.
The first flight carrying 417 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, at 11 pm Wednesday. The second flight with 325 pilgrims aboard landed at Jinnah International Airport Karachi on Thursday morning. A large number of relatives and friends of pilgrims were present at the airports to welcome them.
On return, the pilgrims lauded the arrangements made by the Saudi government during the hajj. Higher authorities at the Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport welcomed pilgrims as first Haj flight landed here after midnight.
According to sources, the first flights arrived late causing trouble to the families waiting for the pilgrims outside the airports.
