Justice Chaudhry Abdul Qayyum of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has ordered to release eight workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on bail.
The ATC has directed to release them from Jail after the submission of bail bonds of Rs 0.1 million while the court has rejected the applications of bail of 16 workers.
Lawyers Raja Irshad Abbass and Raja Atif Tahir submitted the applications of bail from PAT’s side and said in the application that police of Jehlum arrested 110 persons from the custody of Bhakker Police and registered cases on the allegations of kidnapping 18 policeman at Lalha Interchange, fighting and stoning on police and weapon snatching from police while such a case was also registered in Bhakker Police Station.
It was said in the application that police committed a revengeful act and arrested the PAT workers for harassing them who have no relation with this case.
