*Former law minister says protests harming economy

If we want we can gather people to raise slogans of “Pagal Khan” in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Lahore, said former law minister Rana Sanaullah on Sunday.

Sanaullah said that those chanting “Go Nawaz Go” slogans do not care about country’s integrity. He remarked that Tahirul Qadri can hold a protest rally by gathering millions in Cholistan as well but he can’t win a single seat in assembly.

The former provincial law minister said that Pakistan is passing through a critical phase, adding that protests won’t do any good. He said that the whole nation should unite to save the country. The protest leaders are provoking people and instigating violence, the minister said. If we want we can gather people to raise slogans of “Pagal Khan” in a PTI rally but we won’t do that.

He also said that the protests are a conspiracy against the country which was planned in London. He labelled PTI sit-ins as music shows.

Talking about Qadri, he remarked that he can’t win a single seat in the assembly in spite of gathering thousands of people in protest. Regarding flood efforts, he told the journalists that the government has dedicated an amount of Rs 15 billion for the flood victims. He urged the whole nation to help the flood victims and stand united to make the Zarb-e-Azb operation successful.
