Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has asked National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to disqualify MNA Nasir Khattak who was elected on PTI’s ticket from NA-15.
In a letter to the speaker, Imran Khan said that Nasir Khattak in disregard and disobedience of the unanimous resolution of the parliamentary party of PTI that all MNAs would hand over their resignations to the chairman failed to tender his resignation.
The PTI chairman said Nasir Khattak was issued a show cause notice but his reply was found unsatisfactory. He said in accordance with the party’s constitution, the PTI chairman had terminated his membership of the party and as Khattak has defected from PTI, therefore his seat in the National Assembly is liable to be vacated.
