The city police chief Thursday stated that ongoing targeted operation is being carried out only against criminals in the metropolis.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Sindh Ghulam Qadri Thebo urged the MQM to stage a sit-in at a place where roads would not block for traffic.
He appealed the MQM to end its sit-in at Star Gate area, adding that people visiting the airport were facing roads blockade. The AIG said that Rangers confirmed to have arrested 15 people during their raid on Abul Hassan Ispahani Road last night.
Thebo said that terrorist wanted to carry out a big terrorist activity, adding that a truck carrying huge cache of arms and drugs moving from Balochistan province to Sindh had been seized.
The Karachi police chief also stressed upon a need to install scanners at all entry and exit routes of the city.
