Federal Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on Tuesday to review progress of the arbitration in ICSID on the Rekodiq Project.
Different aspects of the arbitration came under discussion. Participants of the meeting expressed the view that once initiated, the project would contribute massively to the economic uplift of the Baluchistan province, especially in creating a number of job opportunities.
The meeting agreed to make all out efforts for speedy settlement of the arbitration issues so that further progress could be made. The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for P&NR Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister for S&T Zahid Hamid, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Khwaja Zaheer Ahmed, Attorney General of Pakistan Salman Aslam Butt, Advisor Finance Division Rana Assad Amin and Nadeem Hassan Asif, Secretary Establishment.
