Unidentified armed accused shot dead a person and escaped on Monday.
Police said that unidentified motorcyclists fired shot at a man near Mochi Gate who died on spot while the motorcyclists sped away.
The body was shifted to hospital and later handed over to heirs after medico-legal formalities.
Police have registered a case against the murderers and kicked off investigation.
