Ongoing dharnas in Islamabad have dealt another major blow to national economy as the Expo Pakistan exhibition has been postponed for three months further.

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chairman SM Munir has announced to postpone the Expo Pakistan exhibition for three months due to negative message reaching the world countries in the wake of dharnas.

Commercial attaché of 90 per cent embassies all over the world had made it clear that foreign companies and investors were avoiding to participate in Expo Pakistan due to prevailing political situation in the country.

Expressing their grave concern over postponement of Expo Pakistan, the business community of the country has demanded of Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri to review their attitudes.

A 4-day Expo Pakistan exhibition was scheduled to begin from October 22 and now it has been postponed for three months.

As per business circles, TDAP reaped benefit of Rs 35 million from “Aalishan Pakistan” exhibition at New Delhi. A report in this regard will soon be presented to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
