*ATC grants bail to PML-N MPA
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Faisalabad on Friday approved Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab Assembly Member (MPA) Rana Shoaib Idrees’ bail against surety bonds worth Rs 300,000 in police station attack case.
ATC Judge Ishtiaq Ahmad was hearing the case. During the hearing, Idrees was produced before the court and the accused lawyer requested the court to grant bail to his client.
The Khurarianwala police on July 19 had registered a case against Idrees for attacking three police officials. Jaranwala Police Station Sub Inspector Riyasat Ali was injured when Idrees and his men had barged into the police station and attacked the policemen. His men had freed three men from the police station, damaged furniture and demanded weapons from the police.
Despite denying allegations, police had arrested him.
