Imported LNG to be provided to CNG sector: Khaqan

Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that imported LNG will be provided to CNG sector.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, he said due to the importing of LNG, CNG stations will remain open throughout the year which will also provide 10 million job opportunities. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that imported gas will be provided to CNG sector within next 18 months.

The minister said that negotiations were underway regarding Iran-Pak Gas Pipeline.

  1. LNG import and Pak Iran Gas Pipeline projects, two statements are empty slogans by the ruling elite that we are hearing for the last two decades. They make such statements from time to time to keep themselves politically alive and to be-fool the public. They make such ridiculous statements that LNG project will create 10 million jobs. Had he said 10 thousand jobs it could have been believed. But 10 million is a great lie. They keep on beating about bush from time to time. Had their statements been true, Pakistan would have been wealthier country even than Europe.
    There must be a law that ruling class will not make such arbitrary statements,
