At least five persons were killed and four others injured as three rival groups exchanged fire in Khairpur district over a monetary dispute.
According to reports, a group fired rockets at the houses of another group in Prialoi area of Khairpur district killing four persons and injuring three others.
The injured were transferred to local hospital for medical attendance. Police have failed to reach the scene of the incident. SSP Usman Ghani said that the police could not reach the place of incident till the shootout came to an end.
Some 16 persons including a former union council nazim Shujaa Hussain have been killed and more than 20 were injured in last three months over a dispute of Rs 1500, local sources said.
