PM visits flood-hit AJK, announces to set up university, train service

MUZAFARABAD-

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday visited flood-hit areas of Azad Kashmir and announced compensation for affectees of natural calamity, a private news channel reported.

Upon his arrival in Havelian, the PM was briefed over damages caused by the floods. He also reviewed the relief and rescue efforts.

Addressing the flood victims, the premier expressed deep grief over the loss of life and announced Rs 1 million compensation for the families of the deceased.

PM Sharif recounted the economic achievements of his regime and also announced a Islamabad- Muzaffarabad train service for tourism promotion and a university campus for the town.
