The protesters camping at the Pakistan Secretariat building stopped government officials from reaching their offices on Wednesday.
According to eye witnesses, a good number of employees of Pak Secretariat, Cabinet Block, FBR, Election Commission, PTV, Radio Pakistan and Parliament tried to reach their offices despite extreme difficulties but were prevented to make to their offices at some places by the security staff and at most of the places by the demonstrators.
For the sake of security, majority of employees returned home. However a limited number of employees managed to enter their offices. Several offices have made emergency arrangements to keep the essential staff in offices but they too are now feeling tired due to continuous duties.
It is worth mentioning that the participants of Azadi and Inqilab marches are in control of the gates of Pak Secretariat and Cabinet block and the employees fear that they would be manhandled if they tried to enter the gates.
