RAWALPINDI-
Lahore High Court on Wednesday ordered the removal of all containers installed to block roads and thoroughfares in Islamabad and Rawalpind, a private news channel reported.
According to the report, the Rawalpindi bench of LHC was hearing a case on a petition filed by Raja Nasir Mehmood and observed that free movement is the right of citizens and added that it had issued directive to remove the blockade earlier but compliance to the orders was awaited.
The deputy advocate general was ordered to submit the compliance report by Wednesday evening.
Major road were blocked in the twin cities due to ‘security concerns’ ahead of the Azadi and Inqilab March announced by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on August 14.
